Florence Castelino was an ardent advocate of education and when she
died in a tragic accident during Hurricane Andrew in Florida in 1992,
many unknown faces came out to reveal how she had helped their children
with their school fees and books and were eternally greatful for her
generosity.
As a token of this gesture her children and family at large set up
the MamaFlo Education Trust with the sole purpose of
continuing to educate poor children in Chennai, which was her home.
The Trust is in its sixth year and has a modest Corpus that takes care
of the education needs of some 30 children each year.
We are greatful to the Donors and Trustees who take time to look after
the workings of the Trust and look forward to its ongoing contribution
and wellbeing.
